Had a wonderful day today. Tommy's Godmother and her mother came by for a visit. Tommy is getting so big. He is 20lbs now. He is my little chunka. Momma's boy. My miracle. My angel. My love. Forever.

Packing with Tommy!!

So today we started to pack! Tommy sat in his bouncer and cooed away while mommy busted her but. Right now we live in a third floor apartment and there is absolutely no air!! Even with the air conditioner in is so hot. So trying do anything becomes such a task. But all of that doesn't matter because we are moving!! I am so happy. I can't wait to be able to walk out on our balcony and enjoy a coffee. Or to play on the grass outside with Tommy.

It is so amazing, one year ago we owned a backpack and a black trash bag! Now we have a whole house full of pots, pans, everything! However our house is 80% Tommy 15% Daddy and 5% mommy haha.

Tommy is sound asleep now. I love our bed time routine, he is such a great baby. First Tommy gets a bath. After the bath he gets a massage and story time. A bottle, burp and we say our prayers and then he is off to bed.

Thank you Similac!!

So as I had mentioned before Tommy was having some kind of allergic reaction and the doctor thought it may be related to a milk allergy. So we switched his formula to Enfamil Nutramigen, he HATED it. Turned his head, spit it out, and would only eat until he was just satisfied (only about 2oz).

Back to the pediatrician we went. Now we are on Similac Alimentum, and he is eating! Thank you Similac!! He is eating his Oatmeal Cereal again and formula! I am probably too excited about this, but I am so glad to see him eating.

He also has been trying solid baby foods and he loves bananas and sweet potatoes so far. :)

And his rash is going away!!

Formula and Solid Foods..

Talk about a struggle!! My son has a possible milk allergy and so he was switched to soy.. made him constipated. Now we are on Nutramegin he HATES it! :( So now we are going to try Alimentum by Similac. On a brighter note, Tommy loves solid foods! Not so much the cereal since the formula is in it, but the baby food! He gobbled up bananas like crazy tonight. He kept going after the spoon like he couldn't get enough. I am so excited.

Tommy's First Holiday Cards

NICU booklet

Our discharge paperwork

International Pay It Forward Day

April 28th is International Pay It Forward Day, the goal is for one million people to do something nice for one another. I believe it can be more than that! Something as simple as a smile or opening a door for a mother or an elderly person. C'mon what can you do to pay it forward! On April 28th keep your eyes open for things other people need, and provide it, opening a door is free!! I would love to hear what you did to help pay it forward so come back and tell me! If you are a believer in the Pay It Forward Movement and would like to receive free Pay It Forward bracelets to help email pif@payitforwardtoday.org and they will hook you up with some wristbands. Lets be nice to one another.

Our first Easter as a family:

Tommy in his Easter outfit!

Auntie Lori with baby bunny!

Our little bunny boy.

Auntie Brittney and Crystle with Tommy.

Dawn and Auntie Eileen with Tommy

Today was wonderful! He has risen!! There is so much that I am grateful for this Easter. I am grateful first of all for a roof over my head, after experiencing homelessness I will forever be grateful for a safe place to rest my head at night and food in my stomach. I am extremely grateful for my family, my amazing husband and our beautiful son! The day started with music and coffee, we got Tommy ready for the day and ourselves and out we went. Auntie Lori came and picked us up and we went with Brittney, Crystle, Lori (of course Tom, myself and Tommy) to Auntie Eileen's house. I met Tom's Aunt and cousins for the first time which was nice. We ate a delicious brunch and when we came home took Tommy for a stroll. Hope everyone had a great Easter! Tell me about it if you have the time!

Baby boy in NICU

This is our little survivor when he was in NICU, born at 34 weeks he had a little trouble adjusting being out of Mommy's tummy. This was probably the hardest thing I have been through. To see your child sick and feel so powerless. His jaundice had gotten so bad at one point his eyes were yellow. Luckily he only had to stay in a week, and thank God for the Ronald McDonald House. This house allowed my husband and I to stay right across the street from the hospital and I could be with my boy every feeding. So glad our NICU days are over. Thank you God.
